Questions Answered.
No Runaround.
Everything homeowners and business owners in Clackamas County ask before picking up the phone — answered straight.
Is Friday Maintenance Legit?
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes — fully. Friday Maintenance holds Oregon Contractor license CCB #258428, is bonded, and carries general liability insurance.
Unlicensed handymen are common in Clackamas County. Hiring one puts you at risk if something goes wrong — your homeowner's insurance may not cover damage caused by unlicensed contractors.
Who actually shows up to do the work?
Erich. Every time. This isn't a dispatch service or a crew company — when you call Friday Maintenance you're talking directly to the person who will do the work.
That means no miscommunication between office and field, no strangers you've never spoken to showing up at your door, and someone who actually cares about the job because his name and reputation are on the line.
How long have you been doing this?
15 years. Erich has been working in residential and light commercial maintenance across Clackamas County for over a decade and a half. That's 15 years of real jobs, real homes, real clients — not a resume bullet point.
He's based in Estacada, which means he knows the homes, the local building quirks, and the community.
Do you have references or reviews I can read?
Yes. Erich has 5-star reviews from clients across Clackamas County — Happy Valley, Oregon City, Sandy, and beyond. Check Google reviews for Friday Maintenance Services, or ask Erich directly when you call and he'll connect you with past clients if needed.
What Does a Handyman Cost?
How much does a handyman cost in Clackamas County?
Most small jobs run $75–$200. Mid-size projects — like assembling a room of furniture or mounting two TVs — typically fall in the $150–$350 range. Larger punch lists and commercial projects are quoted by scope.
- Single TV mount with cable management: $120–$180
- Garbage disposal swap: $100–$160 (parts extra)
- Furniture assembly (1 piece): $75–$140
- Faucet replacement: $110–$175 (parts extra)
- Multi-item punch list: quoted by scope
Parts and materials are billed at cost — no markup. You'll know the full price before any work starts.
Do you charge a trip fee or travel fee?
No trip fee for standard service areas within Clackamas County. If your job is farther out — like Welches, Molalla, or outside the county — Erich will let you know upfront if any travel consideration applies. Most of the time it doesn't affect the price.
Do you charge for estimates?
For most jobs, Erich can give you a ballpark over the phone or text at no charge. Send a few photos of your project and he can usually quote it without a visit.
For larger or more complex jobs — commercial buildouts, big punch lists, structural concerns — he may do a brief on-site visit first. You'll know before he comes out whether there's any charge, and for most jobs there isn't.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, check, Venmo, and most major payment apps. Payment is due upon job completion unless a different arrangement has been agreed upon in advance for larger projects.
Is there a minimum job size?
There's no formal minimum, but keep in mind that very small jobs (under 30 minutes of work) may not be the best fit given scheduling and travel time. If you have a quick fix, the best move is to call and describe it — Erich will tell you honestly whether it makes sense to book.
Often it's worth bundling a small fix with another item on your list to make the visit worthwhile for both sides.
What's the new customer discount?
New customers get 10% off their first project — no minimum job size, no expiry date. Just mention it when you call or text to book. It applies to labor; parts and materials are separate.
How Do I Get on the Schedule?
How quickly can you get to my job?
It varies by season — spring and summer book faster. For most smaller jobs, Erich can usually get out within a few days to a week. Call or text (971) 236-2190 and he'll give you the honest timeline on the spot.
For urgent issues, mention it when you reach out — he tries to fit in time-sensitive jobs when possible.
What's the best way to contact you?
Call or text (971) 236-2190 — that's the fastest way to reach Erich directly. He responds same day, usually within a couple of hours.
You can also email Erich@fridaymaintenance.com or use the request a bid form on this site. Texting a photo of your project is a great way to get a fast, accurate quote.
Do you work weekends?
Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Weekend availability varies — it does happen, especially for urgent jobs or clients with tight weekday schedules. Ask when you call and Erich will let you know what's possible.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
Sometimes, yes — especially for smaller jobs earlier in the week. It depends entirely on the current schedule. Call and ask — the worst he can say is it'll be a couple of days out.
Do I need to be home during the job?
For most interior jobs, yes — someone over 18 should be present. For exterior work or situations where you've provided access in advance, Erich can often work while you're away. Discuss it when booking and he'll work with your schedule.
What Does Friday Maintenance Actually Do?
What services do you offer?
Friday Maintenance handles a wide range of residential repairs and light commercial installs, including:

- TV mounting and cable management
- Faucet replacement and plumbing repairs
- Garbage disposal installation
- Door repairs, hardware, and keypad locks
- Light fixture replacement
- Cabinet repair and adjustment
- Mirror, shelf, and art hanging
- Sign installation (commercial)
- Caulking and weatherproofing

See the full services page for the complete list.
Do you do plumbing work?
Yes — for standard residential repairs. Faucet replacements, cartridge swaps, shut-off valves, garbage disposal installs, and under-sink fixes are all in scope.
What's not in scope: re-piping, water heater installs, main line work, or anything requiring a licensed plumber permit. Erich will tell you upfront if your job crosses that line and can point you toward the right resource.
Do you do drywall or painting?
Minor patching — yes. Small holes from anchors, mounting damage, or general wear can be filled and touched up. Full drywall repairs, texture matching, or full-room painting are outside scope and better handled by a dedicated painter or drywall contractor.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. Friday Maintenance regularly handles light commercial work for offices, retail shops, restaurants, and property managers across Clackamas County. Common commercial jobs include:
- Office and conference room furniture assembly
- TV and monitor mounting in meeting rooms
- Interior and exterior sign installation
- Cabinet hardware and door repair
- Build-out punch lists for new spaces
- Art and display fixture installation
Call to discuss your commercial project — Erich is happy to scope it out.
Do you provide materials, or do I need to supply them?
Both options work. For jobs where you've already purchased parts — a faucet, a TV mount, a lock set — Erich installs what you have. For jobs where sourcing is part of it, he can pick up materials and bill them at cost with no markup.
If you're not sure what to buy, describe your project and he'll tell you exactly what to get before your appointment — or he'll source it himself.
What work do you NOT do?
To keep quality high and pricing fair, Friday Maintenance focuses on repairs and installs that are in scope for a licensed general handyman. Jobs that fall outside include:
- Full remodels or structural work
- HVAC installation or repair
- Roofing
- Major electrical panel work
- Re-piping or main line plumbing
- New construction framing
If your job is outside scope, Erich will tell you honestly and can often point you toward a good contractor who handles that specific work.
Can you handle a punch list with multiple small items?
Absolutely — punch lists are one of the most common jobs. Write down everything you've been putting off: the door that sticks, the faucet drip, the TV that needs mounting, the cabinet hinge that's been loose for six months. Send the list over and Erich will knock it all out in one visit.
This is also a great option for landlords, property managers, and short-term rental hosts doing a seasonal refresh.
Do You Come to My City?
What cities do you serve?
Based in Estacada, Friday Maintenance serves all of Clackamas County including:
- Core area: Happy Valley, Oregon City, Clackamas, Damascus, Sandy, Boring, Estacada
- West county: Milwaukie, West Linn, Gladstone, Oak Grove, Lake Oswego
- South county: Molalla, Redland
- Mountain communities: Welches
- Extended area: Tualatin, Sellwood / Portland
See the full service area map for details.
I'm not in Clackamas County — can you still help?
Possibly. Erich covers some areas outside the county for the right job — Sellwood, Lake Oswego, and Tualatin are regularly on the schedule even though they're technically in Multnomah or Washington County. If you're unsure, call and ask. He'll tell you honestly whether it makes sense.
